Jack Greenhalgh our oldest parishioner celebrated his 100th birthday on Monday 8th March.
Celebrations began on Sunday morning 7th March when members of Jack’s family and friends joined parishioners of St Joseph’s church for a Mass in Jack’s honour.
On the Monday of Jack’s birthday he was serenaded by his fellow residents at Robinson Court, Barnoldswick, who gathered in front of Jack’s ground floor window to wish him a happy birthday. Claire Boardwell, Scheme Manager presented Jack with a birthday card from a very special person. Her Majesty the Queen!
Current restrictions prevented the customary birthday party however this did nothing to dampen the spirits and Jack was delighted by the fabulous celebrations to mark his very special day.
We wish Jack a very happy birthday!
